This was a beautiful home in a great location. Easy for centre of town. Everything was spotless and our host Louisa could not have been more helpful.

We absolutely loved our stay at the Art House. It's a beautiful space in a really charming and vibrant part of Cape Town and very well situated for exploring the City. The city centre and V&A waterfront are easily walkable from the house and there are plenty of good bars, restaurants and cafes nearby. Most of the main sights (Table Mountain, National Gallery, District Six Museum, Signal Hill, Camps Bay) are only about 5-10 mins away by Uber (although you can also walk to many of them in about 20 minutes too). Bo Kaap itself has plenty of restaurants, craft shops and local galleries to explore and just wandering the streets and admiring the colourful houses in the neighbourhood is a good way to spend a few hours.

The house was absolutely immaculate when we arrived and has all the amenities we could have needed. It's light, bright and airy and at the same time cosy and characterful. Relaxing on the balcony with in the evening with a view of Table Mountain was particularly lovely. Louisa was a great host - providing us with a warm welcome, sharing tips for interesting spots to visit and places to eat, providing lovely food supplies for our first evening and morning and always there at the end of the phone to quickly answer any questions we had during our stay. I couldn't recommend the Art House highly enough. It was a delight to stay there and my only regret is we didn't have more time to spend in the house itself because we were so busy exploring Cape Town!

We were a group of 5 women staying at this wonderful apartment. All of us girls could only say 'wow!!! - this place is Amazing!!' when we walked in through the door as it is quite unassuming from the outside. The location to Bree St where there is excellent cafes and bars was only a 5min walk and only a 10min uber ride to the waterfront. The property has a lockable garage, with a full security system and is very spacious and decorated beautifully. The kitchen was fitted out with lovely white goods and even had a beautiful SMEG fridge. Louisa kindly provided some food items such as fresh juice, bread, butter and chocolate to make us feel at home. Everything worked and the place was immaculate! The neighbourhood would be the only sticking point if you were expecting to stay in an area which was secluded from the realities of life in South Africa. Although an up and coming area which is obviously home to many families (there is a school across the road!), this neighbourhood isn't without its rough edges and at times this was quite visible. If you aren't comfortable with being occasionally confronted by the realities of the life in Capetown then this place sadly isn't for you. Louisa was a fantastic host and nothing was a bother. I would stay here again as its was a beautiful house with AMAZING views but common sense and an assertive nature is required when staying in this residential neighbourhood. Thankyou Louisa!

The Art House Is just perfect. Set on three levels with an open plan design who sleeps 5 people with comfort. The views is just spectacular of the Mountain and City. The fridge were stocked with all we needed for breakfast the next morning, we were very impressed. Now it's just myself and my partner left for the last few days and we don't want to leave! I will return to this place again. Special thanks to Louisa who helped us in so many ways and Lisa who changed our bedding halfway through our stay.
